Echo After Echo
by Amy Rose Capetta

When Zara lands her dream role as an actress in the Aurelia Theater in a play she's loved forever, she couldn't be happier. But she arrives to find one of the crew dead. Throughout the development of the play the other members other the crew warn her about the director while others tell her to see it through to the end, when another member of the crew turns up dead. Though these deaths seem like accidents or suicide, it's a little fishy. So Zara, along with Eli, the lights director who's trying her best not to fall in love with Zara do some digging to find out what's going on. Because Of Mr. Terupt
by Rob Buyea

This was a book my sister had to read for school, but I ended up reading it anyway. This book is a story about seven kids in a class who each have very different personalities and different expectations of their teacher, who's new to the school. Along the way Mr. Terupt teaches each of them lessons and helps to form friendships. But when an accident leaves his life hanging in the balance, these kids have to find a way to help him and each other through it.

Seraphina
by Rachel Hartman

This book takes place in a world where humans and dragons have formed a peace and where dragons can take a human form. Seraphina is a half-dragon with a passion for music - like her mother (a dragon). She has kept this fact about her a secret for her whole life, but there is more to being half-dragon than a couple of scales on her arm and midriff. In her mind she has seen visions of 18 people in particular, though she's not sure how they are all connected, until the people from her visions start appearing in her real life and she realizes they are half-dragon as well. Caught up in a plot against the royal (human) family and also the peace treaty between dragons and humans, Seraphina teams up with the Lucian and Glisselda to figure out who is behind this plot and the murder of the late prince. The only thing is, Seraphina's secret is becoming harder to keep and the prince isn't the only one who the murderer wants dead...

The Gravity of Us
by Phil Stamper

I found this book on an online library I've been using and it sounded good, so I decided to check it out. It's about Cal, a teen journalist from Brooklyn whose dad has applied to become an astronaut in the Orpheus V mission. His dad ends up being considered for one of the final choices and his family has to move to Texas where the other astronauts are living and where their lives are being recorded for a reality tv show. When Cal gets there, he starts to realize how the tv people aren't really there for the science, just for the drama, like when one of the astronauts is killed in a plane accident. When he reveals their real intentions, they decide to go against him and to take down NASA. In order to stop them, Cal does some interviews of his own of all the people behind the scenes at NASA, the scientists, engineers, researchers, and showing people the real science in the mission. Cal also ends up falling in love with Leon, another astronaut's son and Cal comes to realize that nothing is perfect in real life and not everything has to be fixed.
